- The Hawaiian State Quarter was the last in the 50 State Program from the U.S. Mint. It features King Kamehameha I stretching out his hand toward the eight major islands that make up Hawaii. There is and expression on the coin which has the state motto, "Ua Mau Ke Ea O Ka'Aina I Ka Pono" which means that the life of the land is perpetuated in righteousness. It also features the year 1959 which is the date Hawaii entered the Union as the 50th State.
This unique coin is made even more unique as a cuff link.
