- Description
- Public transit began in Los Angeles in 1874 in the form of a horse car system that ran on tracks in downtown Los Angeles for 10 cents a ride. In 1960, the Los Angeles MTA introduced an art deco, dime-sized token that was further enhanced by two symmetrical cuts. This token was an excellent example of the industrial design of that period, showing how a common object could be both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Makes a great gift to all those that love this great city, and comes packaged in a specially designed, map-covered cufflink box with authenticity card. Prestigiously set in sterling silver.
