All wooden humidors must be seasoned before use. If you live in a dry climate, it’s best to season it about once a year. Seasoning your humidor is vital because it raises the moisture level of the wood so that it will be consistent with the moisture of the cigars it carries. This is important because it keeps both your cigars and your humidor in perfect condition. If you do not adequately season your humidor the wood will absorb too much moisture from the cigars and dry them out.
